The Wireless Toolkit is a state-of-the-art toolbox for developing wireless applications. The toolkit includes the emulation environments, performance optimization and tuning features, documentation, and examples that developers need to bring.
The wireless communications technology map covers all major wireless technologies: Wireless LAN (WLAN), WiMAX for metropolitan area networking (WMAN), Bluetooth, ZigBee and UWB for personal area networking (WPAN) and mobile wireless (WWAN).
WirelessMon 2.0 detects and monitors wireless (WiFi) networks. Unsecure access points can be identified, as can channel usage. The Professional Ed. enables users to generate a coverage map by either manually plotting points, or using a GPS device.
The Macintosh wireless driver from OrangeWare allows Mac OS X users, version 10.2 and newer, to use Atheros based 802.11a/b/g desktop and laptop cards with an Airport access point, as well as any PC-orientated access point.
